The work permit options for international students’ graduates are no longer the right to PGWP

If you are a recent or future graduate, or a person who has expired in PGWP, where you have lost your third cycle working license, you have other options for acquiring legal status to work in Canada:

• Free-trade agreement based: you must be a foreign citizen of a country that has a free trade agreement with Canada.

• International Experience Canada (IEC): You must be a foreign national from a country that has a bilateral youth mobility agreement with Canada. You must be 35 years of age or younger (30 years for some countries).

• Temporary Foreign Worker Program: Employer need to perform positive or neutral evaluation of fighting with marketing specialists (LMIA). Employers need to comply with various other criteria according to the flow.

• Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP): You have a job offer and your employer must sponsor you for AIP. The province must approve your job offer.

• Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidate work permits: You must be a candidate for a PNP program. Requirements vary from PNP to PNP.

• Spousal open work permit – post-secondary studies: Your spouse must be enrolled in an eligible program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

• Spousal open work permit – family sponsorship: Your spouse must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must be your sponsor when applying for permanent residence.
