International graduates are defined as students who have obtained a degree, diploma or certificate from an eligible post-secondary institution in Canada within the last three years.
New Release
The British Columbia Provincial Nomination Program (BCNPP) plans to introduce the following three new streams of the Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) for international graduates. These streams aim to create clearer pathways for international graduates to obtain permanent residence (PR) in Canada and improve their employment prospects in British Columbia.
Three streams will be open to recent graduates of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in British Columbia (BC) in 2025.
Some Related Facts:
- Updated language requirements: Each of the new streams will require at least Canadian Language Benchmark Level (CLB) 8.
- Graduates of graduation certificates and certificates do not have the right to these new streams, but can have the right to other BCPNP methods.
- Bachelor degree holders must have an eligible, full-time, and without a declared end date job offer
- Master degree holders must have a full-time job offer lasting at least one year in a skilled occupation
- D. holders do not need a full-time job offer.
